KfW Capital's goal is to strengthen the German venture capital ecosystem in the long term. Acting on behalf of the German government, KfW Capital invests in European venture capital funds that finance technology-oriented start-ups and growth companies in Germany. KfW Capital also acts as a co-investor in innovative start-ups. Since entering the market in 2018, KfW Capital has been a reliable and consistent partner to the VC ecosystem, advising policymakers on the further development and strengthening of Germany as a centre of economic activity and innovation. A key objective is to mobilise private capital for the venture capital asset class, particularly through innovative products that effectively combine private and public capital, such as the Growth Fund, a proven model for the future.

In 2018, the year it was founded, KfW Capital started with 20 employees. Since then, many new tasks have been added to KfW Capital and our team is constantly growing along with them. Most of the positions advertised are new vacancies to strengthen the respective teams. It is important for us to grow ‘responsibly’ – in other words, when selecting new employees, we attach great importance not only to their professional qualifications but also to their personal fit with the team as well as to the corporate culture.

As soon as the contract is signed, the onboarding process begins, during which you will receive all the necessary documents and information to be prepared for your first day at KfW Capital. Even before you officially start, you are cordially invited to take part in our team events – great opportunities to get to know your colleagues in a relaxed atmosphere. On your first day at work, you will receive the necessary IT equipment, your ID card and a tour of our newly designed office floors. Over time, the onboarding process will be supplemented by further appointments with the individual teams to give you an overall view of KfW Capital.
