Overview: Growth Fund

The Growth Fund is a key component in strengthening Germany and Europe as venture capital hubs. Through a fund-of-funds approach, it provides institutional investors with structured access to the venture capital asset class, whilst helping to improve the financing of start-ups and scale-ups in the long term.

Growth Fund Germany was the first fund to be launched with a target volume of around one billion euros; it has successfully invested in venture capital funds and is almost fully deployed. Building on this success, Growth Fund II marks the launch of the next generation of funds, which will continue this approach and aims to mobilise additional private capital for the European VC market.

Both funds aim to provide more growth capital for innovative technology companies, thereby strengthening Germany’s competitiveness in the long term.
