    • Overview of details
      • KfW Capital invests as a co-investor alongside VC fund managers in innovative start-ups and young technology companies that have their headquarters, a permanent establishment, or the focus of their business activities in Germany and are looking to raise growth capital.
      • Each co-investment opportunity is reviewed according to a standardized process, whereby at least one other private investor must be involved in the financing round in addition to the co-investing VC fund manager.
      • In the first phase, which is now beginning, the start-up can receive between €10 million and €15 million after prior review by KfW Capital.
      • A second phase, which will begin later this year, will enable investments of up to €50 million per start-up, with KfW Capital participating on the same terms as private investors.
      • Co-investments are always made in cooperation with KfW Capital's portfolio fund managers in selected start-ups. It is not possible for start-ups to contact KfW Capital directly.
