A strong venture capital ecosystem thrives not only on capital, but also on knowledge, diversity and sustainable practices. KfW Capital plays a key role in strengthening Germany's position as a leading VC hub through various venture education initiatives aimed at professionalising and advancing the sector. Investors, fund managers and other market players are thus qualified as investors for the venture capital asset class, which, in turn, improves the financing landscape for startups.
Various formats such as the KfW Capital VC Academy, the KfW Capital Fellowship Women in VC, which promotes women in the VC ecosystem, cooperations with the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and ESMT Berlin as well as ESG training for VCs, which are carried out together with VentureESG and the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt, are among the venture education measures that KfW Capital implements and/or supports.
